News Alert: FDA Forces Recall on Fraudulent Lipitor

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced a nation-wide recall forcing the makers of Lipitor, Albers Medical Distributors, Inc., to retrieve three lots of 90 count bottles of the cholesterol-lowering drug. The warning was issued on Friday for the following lot numbers:
Check for labels that have Med-Pro, Inc., of Lexington, Neb. in the lower left-hand corner. The FDA will continue this investigation indefinitely and updates may or not be available to consumers or physicians in the upcoming weeks.
