AnaiRhoads.org - One of the most publicised faces of the Abu Ghraib abuse controversy has now become the seventh of the Army Reserve military police members to be charged with assault Friday.
According to a statement released by the XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg, 21 year-old Pfc. Lynndie England faces four allegations:
- Multiple assaults, on several occasions
- Committing indecent acts upon a prisoner
- Conspiring with Spc. Charles Graner to humiliate prisoners
- Committing acts that discredit the mission of the U.S. military
England claimed she was following orders, but the photos show England enjoying the moment, laughing and pointing at the naked, hooded Iraqi prisoners.
Currently, England is over four months into her first pregnancy. The father of her unborn baby is Spc. Charles Graner.
The charges against England will be handled under Article 32, which is similar to a non-military grand jury. England is not yet in custody and is expected to keep her job as administrator for the MP unit at Fort Bragg meanwhile. It is yet unclear what her punishment will be.

Graner faces a possible court martial on criminal charges for indecent acts and mistreatment of prisoners. The couple were members of the Army Reserve 372nd Military Police Company, based in Cumberland, Maryland.
Spc. Joe Darby of the 372nd Military Police Company blew the whistle on the abuse scandal, which has now spread world-wide.
