AnaiRhoads.org - Gene Simmons denied comments he made on Melbourne's 3AW radio recently were anti-Islam.

Simmons, who is best remembered as the bassist for the rock band KISS, was quoted Friday by the Associate press as saying, "I was asked about extremists, and that's what I was talking about.. only extremists."

However, those who listened to Australia's radio programme that night heard Simmons say, "This is a vile culture and if you think for a second that it's willing to just live in the sands of God's armpit you've got another thing coming."

A stream of calls from angry listeners came into the radio station demanding an apology from Simmons.

Simmons insists that his comments were taken out of context and that he is not anti-Muslim.
