Veriana Media - Commander of the Navy's Mid-Atlantic region Rear Adm. Stephen A. Turcotte announced Wednesday that family members of servicemen stationed in Bahrain will be sent to the Norfolk Naval Station in Virginia, USA.

An estimated 800-1,000 family members will arrive over the weekend. They will have the option of staying at the naval station or with people they know.

Recent threats against Americans in Saudia Arabia and Bahrain had prompted the evacuation by U.S. officials.
